Best Old School Games: for the PlayStation 2 console
October 22nd 2011 by admin in Uncategorized, Comments OffThere’s nothing quite like playing old-school games on the PS2. There’s also no other game series quite like Tomb Raider. Three Tomb Raider games were released for the PS2, beginning with Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. While not as popular as earlier games in the series, for my money, this game still beats just about anything on the market. If anything, the lack of tombs to raid provides a refreshing change of pace.
The Angel of Darkness was followed by the Tomb Raider Legend reboot that dropped Core Design for Crystal Dynamics. This is the game that returned the Tomb Raider franchise to the level of popularity it enjoyed in its early days. While there are plenty of tombs to raid in this one, the highlight is a mad dash across the rooftops of Tokyo. This is one you don’t want to miss.
The last Tomb Raider game to be released for the PS2 was Tomb Raider: Anniversary. While this game is a remake of the original Tomb Raider, it’s worth playing just to see the changes that were made. Some will see it as an improvement on the earlier version and some will not. You be the judge.
